Pokemon GO – Complete Beginner’s Guide

Cause you know, when you start the game and Professor Willow just throws you into the world and you know zilch about what all the icons and stuff mean in the game and everyone’s talking about “what team are you in? there’s a lure by xxx Pokestop and omg I just got a 1k CP Snorlax!” you’re just like “what is everyone on about, halp pls D:”.

Plus except for the Pokemon GO subreddit, all the guides I’ve been googling are giving me outdated or only tibits of information about things and it’s a freaking pain to try and find out how to efficiently play this game. This guide assumes you KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING so here we go!

Edit: GOOD GRIEF, NIANTIC KEEPS CHANGING THINGS SO MY GUIDE IS ALWAYS GOING OUT OF DATE. So I’m just going to publish this now for beginners to get a rough idea of what’s happening and update with their changes when I can (I HAD JUST POLISHED UP THE TRACKING SYSTEM BEFORE YOU TOOK IT AWAY NIANTIC T__T NOW I NEED TO UPDATE THE BATTERY SAVER SCREENSHOT TOO)

2pm

I swear, this is the worst hour in a normal workday. I personally think companies should make 2-3pm a general break hour for employees to relax due to the fact it’s just so unbearable. And I’m pretty sure I can’t be the only one who feels immensely tired and sleepy this ONE particular hour everyday?!?!

But seriously, my eyes are drooping and my head hurts and I’m just SO tired for some reason I can’t fathom why. But holy crap, I CANNOT concentrate on work and I don’t even feel like slacking and checking reddit or reading news articles (which is normally what I do).

IS IT CAFFEINE WITHDRAWAL? ARE THESE PERHAPS CAFFEINE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS? BUT THEN WHY DO I NOT GET THESE WHEN I AM HOME AND DRINK ONLY 2 CUPS OF TEA AT THE WEEKEND?

YET when I am at work and have 3 cups of tea per day (1 for breakfast, 1 at 10:30-11am snack time and one at 5-5:30pm after work) I AM STILL DEAD TIRED.

Something is clearly not right here.

And of course, this means I should logically blame work for this no? πŸ˜€

I also start to snooze gradually in the car on the way home around 4:45pm….EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS: tiredness, eye drooping, headaches etc. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY BODY CLOCK? Maybe it’s time to go to the doctors methinks.

Actually, let’s try and find something interesting to read on the internet. It’s 2:55pm, so if I can just hang on a little longer, I can survive the day!

But for now, a little snooze when nobody is looking or the phone isn’t ringing shouldn’t hurt…

Korean BBQ

So I went to eat Japanese Yakiniku the other day with my friends. Being able to fry your own meat in front of yourself and then eating it fresh straight after cooking gives eating dinner an entirely different feel.

Today my cousin brought me to try Korean BBQ.

Which I must admit was fairly decent and I enjoyed it quite a bit! The BBQ was done buffet style in which you went up to a buffet bar to select your meats, and boy there was a HUGE selection with different marinades (though it didn’t specify what kind!) and also seafood!

You can even ask them to replace the grill for you when it gets too dirty. Drinks are also included in the all you can eat buffet. 😊

All this for a grand total of $178 per person. That’s like Β£15 in the UK, which is as much as you would need to spend for a steak! 😨

I’d definitely give this place at least 4 stars. Mostly for such a bargain if you’re looking for BBQ. I’m not sure if it’s authentic Korean food though, however the all you can eat is definitely worth giving a try with a bunch of friends. The atmosphere in chatting and frying meat at the same time really gives it a whole different meaning.

P.S. Did I mention they had sushi, fruit, sashimi and dessert too?! 😱 this place has way too good a deal to be true!

Nightmare in Warwick

I feel like this week deserves to be posted before all the other trips, simply because of how terrible and nightmareish the entire journey had been.

And yes I was actually in Warwick for 4 days and IΒ can say I would most likely never ever want to come back here.

First of all, let me say the office was very nice and had booked us a taxi to wait for and drive us from Birmingham Airport to the office at Heathcote Industrial Estate, we had lunch at the retail park around 10 minutes walk away from the office and the people were generally very nice and even gave us a lift back to the hotel.

Now sadly here is where the nice ends, here is where the nightmare begins. Because this hotel we’re staying in? Yeah, I would never ever recommend anyone to stay there.

And because I have a good fair amount to say about this hotel, I will write it in a separate blog post as a standalone review of the entire place.

Barton Part 1 – Getting There

Think it’s about time I posted something NOT about the drama in my life (or more like other’s lives).

So anyway, part of my work includes travelling. Well quite a large part of it I suppose since around 2 months of the 6 month project is spent elsewhere not near home. By this I mean I actually have to either drive or fly to a different location and stay in a hotel for 4 nights before I am allowed to go back home. It’s not that exciting trust me, business trips and holiday trips are completely different even if the hotel + transport aspect is the same. To summarize in one sentence:

It is fucking tiring.
